Q: How do I power on the tablet?

A: To power on the tablet, press and hold the “power” button located on the top right side of the tablet. You should see two buttons, one small button and one larger button. The smaller button is the “power” button, and the larger button is to control volume.

Q: Why does my tablet not turn on?

A: If the tablet will not turn on, plug in the charger and see if the battery icon comes up. If it does, leave it to charge for about an hour and then try to turn it on.

Q: How do I download apps?

A: In order to download apps, click on the Play Store. If it prompts you to log in to a Google account, click on “Existing” and provide your Gmail or Google account information to log in. If you don’t have one, click on “New” and follow the instructions you see on the tablet to create a new Google account. Once you’ve logged in, you will have access to millions of free Google Apps, and be able to download them, in addition to a wide variety of paid apps.

Q: How do I connect to Wi-Fi?

A:

  1. Go to “Settings”
  2. Make sure that the Wi-Fi is set to “ON”, not “OFF.” Once there, the tablet will look for available Wi-Fi connections.
  3. Click on your Wi-Fi’s network name.
    • Note: If you were previously connected to Wi-Fi, turning it back on should instantly connect you to the same wireless that you were previously on.
  4. Type in your Wi-Fi’s password. Make sure you click “Show Password” so you can check for spelling/capitalization mistakes.
  5. Once done, click “connect” and it should say “Connected” under your Wi-Fi’s name. If it’s stuck on “Authenticating”, check your Wi-Fi’s password.

Q: How can I make my screen not rotate?

A: In the “settings”, under “accessibility”, you can check or uncheck “Auto-rotate screen”

Q: Why can’t I copy files?

A: Make sure:

  • Device is connected to the computer correctly.
  • The memory space is not full.
  • USB cable is not broken.

Q: How can I open PDF files?

A: You may access PDF files by downloading an app called “Adobe Reader”, from the Play Store.

Q: What is the warranty period?

A: The Manufacture warranty is for one year.

Q: What does the manufacture warranty cover?

A: The manufacture warranty covers defects within the tablet e.g. broken speaker, unresponsive touch/buttons.

Q: Does the manufacture warranty cover crack screens?

A: No, the manufacture warranty does NOT cover accidental damage.

Q: How can I remove apps that came with the tablet?

A: Unfortunately you cannot remove the preloaded apps. But, you do have the option to disable them in the same way you would uninstall them.

Q: Someone set up a screen lock password and I can’t get past it. How can I do a hard reset?

A: Carefully follow these instructions:

  1. Make sure the tablet is charged up to 50%
  2. Turn off the tablet completely and make sure it’s not connected to the charger.
  3. Hold down both the volume up and down buttons and then the power button.
  4. When you see the “Monster” logo, you can let go of the buttons.
  5. You should see a green android robot laying down along with blue letters on top.
  6. Press the volume down button until it highlights the “wipe data/factory reset”
  7. Press the power button to select it
  8. You should see a list of “No”s and one “Yes – delete all user data”
  9. Highlight “Yes” and press the “Power” button to select it
  10. After a few seconds, you should see the blue menu come back up again. Click the power button.
  11. The tablet will now be rebooting and will take approximately 4-5 minutes to take you back to its factory (out-of-the-box) state.

Q: Can you connect this tablet to the TV?

A: Yes, by using a mini HDMI cable. You can also change the resolution and screen zoom by going to “Settings”, and then click on the “HDMI” tab.

Q: What should I do if my tablet is stuck on the Monster logo?

A: Carefully follow these instructions to perform a factory reset:

  1. Make sure the tablet is charged up to 50%
  2. Turn off the tablet completely by holding down the power button and make sure it’s not connected to the charger.

Q: How can I un-freeze my tablet?

A: You need to simply hold down the power button for approximately 10 seconds to turn off your unit. Then, simply turn it back on.

Q: How do I get rid of error messages for apps?

A: There are a few different measures you can take:

  • Go to Settings, and select Apps. Scroll down and click on the app that’s giving you error messages. Then click on Clear Cache. Once completed, restart your tablet and open the app to see if you still get the error message.
  • You can also check the Play Store to see if the app is updated to its most recent version.
  • If the problem consists, you can try to uninstall the app, reboot the tablet, and then reinstall the app.

Q: Why doesn’t the System Update work on my Monster tablet?

A: You can try several options to fix this issue:

  • Make sure your tablet has internet connection. If there is no internet connection, you are unable to load the update file.
  • Make sure to copy the “update.img” from “Download” to the “Internal Memory” path directly.
  • Check if the “update.img” is completely downloaded. The size would be around 750MB.
  • Make sure you plug in the adapter before updating.

Q: How do I update my software?

A: Before you begin:

  • It is recommended to back-up the data of your tablet.
  • Make sure your device is plugged into power, and remains plugged in until update is complete.
  • Make sure your device is connected to a stable Wi-Fi connection, and remains connected until update is complete.

Step 1: Go to “Settings”, scroll to “About tablet”, then select “System updates.”

Step 5: Google Play Store will open and direct you to “Monster M7 Tablet Update.” Select “UPDATE” and wait while the unit is updating.

Step 6: Select “Download Firmware Update” and wait while the unit is updating.

Step 7: Once download is complete, press “Install”, then press “install” again.

Your unit will turn off and restart, a green android will appear and stay on for up to 30 minutes. Please make sure your unit remains plugged into power.

Once update is complete, the green android disappears, your unit restarts, “MONSTER” logo appears, and you are good to go. Enjoy!!!
